The Feedstock Journey – Step 4: Delivery & Control

12 February 2026

In the fourth step of our Feedstock Journey, we focus on Delivery & Control: the moment when quality, sustainability and traceability are actively verified upon arrival of each delivery.

Every truck delivery arriving on site is independently surveyed. Samples are taken for visual inspection and temperature checks, and tested for free water and sediments. All samples are retained by the surveying company to ensure full accountability.

To maintain consistent quality over time, composite samples from corresponding truck deliveries are analysed quarterly. The frequency and selection of these analyses depend on the supplier’s historical quality performance, enabling close monitoring of trends and fluctuations.

In parallel, strict sustainability controls are applied. Through our KYC process, each counterparty is verified as being certified under a RED voluntary scheme or as meeting Connex’s internal sustainability requirements. As an ISCC-certified company, Connex reviews all required documentation for every order. After delivery, our sustainability department ensures that all necessary information and documentation is provided to our clients, guaranteeing full traceability from origin to delivery.

To clearly explain how this process works in practice, we have created an animated video that visually guides you through each step of Delivery & Control.

This is how Connex safeguards quality and control at every step of the chain.

That’s how we energize the future.
