At Connex, transporting feedstock is never a one-size-fits-all solution. Each client and flow requires a tailored logistical approach. That’s why we combine efficiency, regulatory compliance and Europe’s extensive logistics network to ensure safe and dependable transportation.
Tanker trucks form the backbone of our decentralised network, moving feedstock from inland production sites to storage facilities with access to waterways. For imported volumes and cross-border flows, we rely on intermodal container freight, seamlessly combining rail, road, and short-sea transport into a single integrated chain.
Wherever possible, we choose barges and vessels. Transport by water is the most energy-efficient option and significantly reduces CO₂ emissions compared to road transport. By aggregating volumes in bulk, expanding our use of waterways and optimising routes, we actively reduce road kilometres, without compromising quality, traceability or delivery times.
